December 16 at 2:00pm will be another meeting of the LA Super 8mm Filmmakers Organization. We are open to anyone interested in attending. This is one of the first meetings, with the intention of making this a regular event.

Anyone who would like to attend, please contact me directly at [email protected] for directions. The meeting will take place at my apartment in Santa Monica. I don't have much in the way of food or drink, so bring your own beer and chips if your hungry. Maybe we can order pizza if the meeting gets long.

This meeting I believe we will be watching some of "Lost Tribes," filmed on Super 8mm. If anyone has any films they have done which they would like to bring, please do. We can either project it or watch it on the television.

We are also planning to do some transfers of Super 8mm film to video using a Goko TC-20 and hopefully a 3CCD camera. So if you have some film you would like transfered, bring it along with your own VHS or DV tape. My DVD recorder broke this weekend, but maybe another time I can do some transfer to DVD for people.

I thought it was important to also keep a combined online presence as the LA Super 8mm Filmmakers Organization. So part of the meeting we will discuss work on the website www.super8mm.org. I'm not that great when it comes to layout designs. If anyone is interested modifying the message board, as well as helping me design and add content to the site, it would be much appreciate.

Also if you are interested, I can give each person who wants to be a member an e-mail address that you can either access from mail.super8mm.org or I can have all e-mail forwarded to your current e-mail address. This will be done at the meeting.

That's about it. If anyone wants to being some of their equipment or anything else you are welcome to. I'm sure this will be an interesting meeting that perhaps will lead to future collaboration on projects.
